About NJPANot Just a PA is owned and managed by Karen Butler, a business professional with over 25 years experience in SMEs and blue chip companies. Starting as a secretary she has worn many corporate ‘hats’ over the years including those of Office Manager, Property and Logistics Manager, Executive Assistant and Vice President of Operations for a publishing house in New York.
With the offices up and running Karen loved her New York life, however, living and working in midtown Manhattan the events of 9/11 had a huge impact on her life and shortly afterwards she made the decision to return to the UK. These are just 2 of the roles in Karen’s career history which have given her the wealth of experience and business acumen which enabled her to make Not Just a PA the success it is today. Prior to establishing NJPA, Karen spent 6 years working for the CEO and founder of one of London’s leading global finance houses, managing his business life and also looking after his and the family’s private affairs. This included organising many high profile business and private events and Karen was also responsible for the setting up and running of the HR department.
